Both Mr Kavanagh and Mr Dunne were granted bail from the High Court in March.
Also appearing were the following defendants: Darren Harrison, 30, and his brother Tadhg Harrison, 25, both of 1 Rosglas Avenue in Monasterevin, who were accused of violent disorder on August 22 last; Adam Forde, 25, with an address given as 26 Togher Avenue in Monasterevin, was accused of violent disorder and assault causing harm against the father of the late Mr McCarthy on the date of the incident; Jordan Kevin, 30, and his brother Shane Kevin, 39, both of 1761 St Evin’s Park in Monasterevin, were also accused of taking part in violent disorder at the time of the incident; and lastly, Shane Foley, 29, with a new address given as 19 The Green, The Oldgrange, in Monasterevin, who was accused of violent disorder on the date of the incident.
On the latest court date, it was heard that both Mr Dunne and Mr Kavanagh were due to have books of evidence served against them by gardaí, but they were not ready.
Similarly, the other defendants were due to have directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), but these were also not ready on the date in question.
Judge Desmond Zaidan adjourned the case for all defendants to July 27, in order to allow time for the books of evidence and DPP directions.
