End Of An Era: Part of Kildare pub to be turned into apartments

The first floor bar and lounge of a pub in Sallins is being converted into apartments. 

Kildare County Council has granted planning permission for the changes to the Bridgewater Inn at Canal View in the village.   

Woodpath Limited applied for the change of use of the existing first floor bar, lounge, office and toilets into four self-contained apartments. 

Specifically, three one-bedroom apartments and a one two-bedroom apartment were approved by the Council. 

The designs include an amendment to the first floor window facade.

A new rooflight and additional side windows are also planned. 

A bin and bike store are also being built.
