Naas Courthouse

A car, which was being pursued by gardaí, crashed into a wall,  it was stated in court.

Larry Connors, 27, whose address was given as 2 Bridgeview, Cloverhill Road, Clondalkin, Dublin 22, was prosecuted for failing to give information to a garda on October 2, 2022 at Millicent South, Sallins.

Sgt Dave Hanrahan told Naas District Court that there were three males in a car driven through a checkpoint.

The vehicle was chased by the gardaí and it crashed before three people ran from it.

He said that the garda had to take evasive action during the incident.

The court also heard that the defendant was a passenger and would not provide information about the driver.

The defendant has six previous convictions, including three under the Road Traffic Act.

Judge Desmond Zaidan imposed a fine of €750.
