New boutique hotel proposed for Kildare, planning permission documents show

A new boutique hotel is being proposed for Kilcullen.
Cross and Hugo Enterprises is seeking planning permission from Kildare County Council to construct the hotel at Bardon's Bar and Accomodation on the Main Street of Kilcullen.
The business also trades as Bardons, according to the business information website SoloCheck.ie.
The applicant is seeking permission for the change of use of the property's existing ground floor diner/takeaway (granted under file ref no. 09/1378) to three ensuite bedrooms, to be used as a boutique hotel.
The company also intends to implement minor internal alterations to the existing wall structure and to remove existing advertising signage.
According to planning documents, this development is within the curtilage of a protected structure (Kildare RPS No. B28-26 NIAH Red. 11819008).
The date received is listed as March 31 last, while the submission-by and due dates are listed as May 4 and May 25 respectively.
Cross and Hugo Enterprises was established in 2003 and is involved in hospitality; specifically, pubs.
It has an address listed as Bramble Lodge, Mullacash, Naas, County Kildare (W91 EW0C).
