County Kildare Chamber, the voice for business in Kildare led a trade visit to Boston this month in which CEO Allan Shine said “will lead to economic investment into Kildare and cemented already strong ties with key stakeholders in the city”.
The delegation met with the CEO and management team of Mass Bio, a leading global life sciences and healthcare hub with 1,600 companies in situ, Boston Irish Business Association, Quincy Chamber, the Irish American Partnership as well as key business leaders in Boston.
Allan Shine said: “This trade visit has proven very successful, the companies on the visit with the Chamber are extremely confident of future business to come from the several meetings organised by the Chamber.
"The visit afforded the Chamber the opportunity to promote Kildare as the destination of choice, for potential business enterprise in the US looking to set up in Ireland. We will be hosting several further meetings with interested parties in Boston when we welcome a delegation to Kildare this August.
"Stakeholder interest was heightened by the delegation visit which included the President of the Chamber Mairead Hennessy and Vice President Brian Purcell."
Shine concluded by saying, “Our continued investment in visiting Boston and hosting reciprocal visits in Kildare is proving very beneficial.
"Our brand and identity in the city is growing and we leverage this with our work on the ground with partners such as Maynooth University and IDA Ireland”.
