Former Naas councillor passes away

The late Mary Glennon

Former independent councillor Mary Glennon has passed away.

The Naas native was elected to the local Town Council and Kildare County Council in 1999 and was successfully re-elected in 2004.

A former employee of Independent Newspapers, Mary is the beloved wife of Eamonn and mother of Andrew, Hannah and the late Tom, sister of Bill, Pat, Chris, Peter, Sally and the late Michael.

She is sadly missed by her loving husband and family, daughter-in-law Claire, Hannah's partner Aaron, grandchildren Jack and Alannah, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, her dear friends Máire and Chris, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Mary's remains will be reposing at her home on the Kilcullen Road Naas on Thursday evening from 4pm to 7pm.

Mary's Funeral will take place on Friday with a Service to commemorate her life at 11am in the Church of The Irish Martyrs, Ballacane, Naas and afterwards to St. Corban's Cemetery, Dublin Road, Naas.
