The cost of renting a work hub or coworking space in County Kildare varies between about €15 and €25 a day.
Information about the cost was sought by Leixlip councillor Joe Neville, who asked about the Kildare Local Enterprise Office (LEO) linked work venues.
A KCC meeting was told that while a daily rate is not offered in all hubs, there are six options available and the average price for a “hot desk” (a desk allocated on a rota system) is €25 a day..
Co-working hubs are located at venues in Naas, Newbridge, Crookstown, Ballymore Eustace, Leixlip, Allenwood and Kildare town, says Kildare County Council.
A dedicated website called Innovate Kildare which the council hope to launch by the end of June will also provide information.
