A man was told he can go back to the family home, following six breaches of a family law order.
The defendant appeared before Naas District Court with his wife and the gardaí initially objected to bail being granted.
However he was permitted to return to the home after his wife indicated she finds it difficult rearing children without him.
Defending solicitor Tim Kennelly said the defendant wants to be a dad and to be in his wife’s life.
The defendant said that he is attending therapy for an alcohol problem.
Judge Zaidan said that the defendant must support his wife.
He altered bail conditions to include a condition that he reside at the family home as well as maintaining sobriety and signing on three days a week at a named garda station.
The matter was adjourned to February 16.
