File Picture: Criminal Assets Bureau
A woman who is the subject of a Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) investigation is now in Romania.
Defending solicitor Brian Larkin made the comments to Judge Desmond Zaidan on Thursday, January 26.
It was heard on a previous court date last year that his client, Paula Marina, with an address listed as 850 Piercetown in Newbridge, was the subject of 'a large-scale garda investigation involving CAB.'
Gardaí on the previous date said that it is believed that the 31-year-old was part of a fraud campaign, along with other suspects.
Mr Larkin told the judge that she has been in contact with him, and informed him that she would return to Ireland in the summer.
However, Judge Zaidan issued a bench warrant against Ms Marina.
He also remarked that the allegations made against her were 'serious'.
