Green light to turn section of Kildare nightclub into guest bedrooms

The Silken Thomas venue in Kildare town has been granted planning permission for a new development .

Kildare Council has approved the conversion and extension of the existing nightclub and late bar into seven new bedrooms.

The project includes the construction of three bedrooms in the existing first floor and four bedrooms in the proposed new second floor.

Also planned are windows to both side elevations as well as on-street access via an existing fire escape stairwell.

There will also be internal access via Silken Thomas.

Advertising signs at the street entrance is also in the designs. 

The estimated value of the project is almost €1m, according to the Building Information Ireland database.
