Signs warning of the presence of deer are in place at some locations
Kildare County Council is to examine if signs warning about the presence of deer or other wild animals are needed in the Naas area.
Two local politicians, Colm Kenny and Evie Sammon, want the council to put up signs warning of the presence of deer.
Cllr Kenny noted that serious damage can follow if a motorist strikes a deer on the road and there are reports of deer in the Rathasker area of Naas.
Cllr Sammon said the signs are needed in the Donode area of Ballymore Eustace as well as the site of the old KTK sandpit, also in Ballymore.
KCC will review these locations and provide signage where it is deemed appropriate.
