15 projects from Kildare schools at Young Scientist Exhibition this week

A total of 15 projects from Kildare schools have been entered into the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition 2023 which takes place in the RDS in Dublin this week from Wednesday to Saturday.

There are four projects from Newbridge College: 

  • What is the best way to communicate complex topics with a non-expert? 
  • An investigation into the quickest path of an object under gravity.
  • Optimising wind turbine efficiency.
  • Forecasting an individual’s political leaning based-off their social media profile.

St Paul's Secondary School, Monasterevin has a project on: A Recreation of Pac-Man.

Clongowes Wood College in Clane has a project on: Passing Networks in Rugby Sevens – The Dependance of Boolean Success on Quantity of Passes within a Phase Chemical, Physical & Mathematical.

Coláiste Naomh Mhuire, Naas has two projects:

  • Leonardo da Vinci’s Inventions: Comparing Yesterday With Today;
  • Green habits - An app that helps users create eco-friendly habits Technology GroupHypo vs Hyper – An investigation into the awareness of the public into the differences between Hypoglycemia and Hyperglycemia.

Confey Community College has project: Creating a secure and accessible healthcare platform.

Maynooth Post Primary School has one project:

“An investigation into the practicality of proliferating blood transfusions and to discern why there has been a decline of donations in Ireland over recent years” 


Gaelcholáiste Mhaigh Nuad Cluichí Teaglamacha has three projects: 

  • Conas a athraíonn na réitigh nuair a athraíonn na rialacha? 
     
  • AEC le haghaidh AED (Aláram atá cost-éifeachtúil le haghaidh AED poiblí)
  • An gcuireann claonadh sa mheán isteach ar torthaí AI bunaithe ar íomhánna cosúil le Google Lens? 

Finally, Celbridge Community School has one project: Sláinte-Link: A Web3 based secure medical records system.
