Esther Tallon tells us “We held our local launch last Friday evening in the Osprey Hotel, attended by John Doyle, Padraig Fogarty and Emer Fogarty and some of our generous event sponsors. Both John and Padraig cycled in The Leinster Loop last year, and are hoping to take part again on Sunday August 19. We’re expecting Emer to make her début this year in the 50km Cill Dara Cruise.
The National Launch is planned for to-morrow Wednesday, June 20 at Government Buildings – we’re delighted to announce that it will be attended by An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny and two legendary Tour de France winners – Stephen Roche and Pedro Delgado!
Further details and registration are available on www.leinsterloop.com – we’ll have a full report on the big launch next week!
All funds raised will be for the National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI) and St Laurence’s Community Complex. For now we’re asking you to put the date in your calendar, as we need all the volunteers and cyclists we can get! Last year’s event was a great success – as a community volunteer day, as a fundraiser, and it was also a great day out for the participants. We’re looking forward to doing it all again, with your help.”
