Cemetery Masses

Cemetery Masses

The annual Cemetery Masses will take place as follows:- Derrinturn - Sunday July 1 at 3pm (No 11am Mass in Derrinturn Church). Kilshanroe – Sunday, July 8 at 3pm (No 11am Mass in Kilshanroe Church).

Rosaries will take place at the other cemeteries at 7.30pm each evening on the following dates in August. Monday, 6th – Kilpatrick. Wednesday, 8th – Templedoath. Thursday, 9th Dunfierth. Friday, 10th – Ardkill.

Respect our graveyards

Please note dogs must be kept on a lead at all times in our graveyards. It is also very important that you clean up after your dog if they dirty the cemetery.

Can we also request that you please put dead flowers in the dark green bins only, or bring them home. Recycling bins are for cardboard and plastic only. Thank you.

Collection for Labour Party

Carbury Labour Branch church gate collection will take place on June 23 and 24 in Derrinturn.

Free Pre-school Year?

Was your child born before 2nd February 2008 and on or before 30th June 2009? If so they are eligible for the free Pre-School Year in Early Childhood Care and Education supported by the Department of Children and Youth Affairs.

All that is needed to make a child eligible to start in September 2012 is age. This entitles the participating child to 3 hours a day 5 days a week for 38 weeks of the school year.

Calling all 6th class students

The organisers of the Confirmation programme in Carbury will have a final gathering and presentation of Certificates on Tuesday, June 26 in Carbury Community Hall at 8.30pm.

This gathering is for all young people who made their confirmation this year and their parents. Refreshments will be provided.
