Foroige Club

Crochta na Gréine le Chéile Foroige club, Suncroft meet every Friday evening in Suncroft school. It caters for young people from 12 years to 18. The aim of the club is to bring young people together in a fun environment and encourage them to become active in their own community. They welcome new members.

Karate class

Suncroft Martial Arts Karate classes continue each Monday in Suncroft National School. Junior classes at 5.30 to 6.30 pm, €3 per class. Senior classes 7 to 8pm €5 per class. Contact Dave 087 9433235.

Suncroft Soccer Club

Suncroft Soccer Club require under 19 manager for 2013 season if you are interested contact 0876158227. This team has been very successful the last few seasons and we want the right person to keep that success going.

Training takes place every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 7pm in Community Grounds, Suncroft and new members welcome. Membership fee is set at €50 payable before season starts.

Public meeting

Kildare campaign against house hold and septic tank charges are holding a public information meeting in the art’s community centre, Woodstock Street, Athy on Tuesday July 3 at 8pm. Speaker’s Clare Daly TD and Gregor Kerr. Please come along and get involved. For further information contact 086-2656897.

Summer singing

Summer singing will be held at Cross and Passion College, Kilcullen from Monday 16th July to Friday 20th July. Classes are for 6 – 11 year olds (2pm – 4pm daily) and 12 – 18 year olds (4.15 – 6.15pm daily). Cost is €70 and places are limited so book early. Please Call 086 - 2581595.


The Scouts meet in Ballyshannon hall on the following nights:- Beavers on Monday nights for ages 6 - 8 years; Cubs 8 to 11 year olds on Wednesday nights; Scouts 12 year olds plus on Friday nights. For further information contact Jennifer Keogh at 087 6817273.
