Bertie Kiernan Memorial Raft Race
The annual Bertie Kiernan memorial raft race will take place on Sunday 13th May at 12pm. The race will start at the boat slip and head down river to finish under the Cromaboo bridge. The event takes place as part of the annual Athy Water festival. Teams consist of four members per raft and all participants must wear a lifejacket. Athy Rugby Club Lotto Results
The results of the draw held on the April 10th are as follows: Numbers: 9,13,19,26. Jackpot: €17,200- No Winner. Athy Toastmasters International

Resident Association Grant Scheme 2012
Athy Town Council invites applications for the annual grants scheme which assists Residents Associations for the maintenance and improvement of their estates. Grants are awarded towards expenses incurred on estate maintenance e.g. landscaping, flowerbeds, tree planting and other minor works. Fianna Fáil Cumann Meeting
The next monthly meeting of the Frank English FF Cumann will take place on Monday 23rd April in Frank O’Brien’s Lounge, Emily Square. All members and anyone with an interest in the local Fianna Fáil organisation are invited to attend.
Inland Waterways Association of Ireland Rally
The IWAI will hold a boat rally on the river barrow the weekend of May 11th 12th and 13th. Athy Town Council meets for it next monthly meeting on Wednesday 18th of April at 7pm in the Council offices. All monthly meeting are open to the General Public.
Athy Community First Responder
Athy Community First Responder is setting up in Athy and we need your help to help those close to you. Community First Responder Volunteers will be fully trained to perform CPR, to use an AED (Defibrillator) and perform Oxygen therapy. First Responders work in conjunction with the HSE to attend emergency calls received by the ambulance service and provide care until the ambulance arrives.
