The club would like to thank all the players, family members and managers who took part in our Sponsored Walk in Donadea on April 1st.

Weekly Lotto tickets €2, last weeks winning numbers 2-5-11-15. Congratulations to anyone who has made it into the 2nd round of the Last Man Standing, the best of luck with this weeks selections.

We had seven teams in action last Saturday with 5 being away from home.

Mid week fixtures start from 2nd April: Shield draw: U12 away to Kilcock (Major 1), U13 home to Newbridge (Major), U15 away to Clane. Cup: U14 1/4 Final home to Naas AFC (premier) Academy continues every Wednesday at pitch for 6-8 year olds.

Poker Classic

Our Annual Poker Classic is almost upon us. Once again, it will take place in the club-house at 9pm on Good Friday night. Cost of entry will be €30 with the facility to top up by €20 ( max 2 top-ups). Prize Pool is a guaranteed €1,000, a very generous pot by any standards. Last year’s Classic was a huge success and we believe that this year’s event will be even better. Tea, sandwiches, cakes, tarts etc will be served on the night. Raheens GAA

The first team started Division 2 with home defeat to Eadestown 0-9 to 3-14. The minors have had a mixed start to 2012 in division 2 with defeats to Balyna, Castledermot, 1 point losses to Confey and Kill and a win against St.Kevins.

The U-16’s Div 2 team kicked off the season with a narrow defeat to Na Fianna but followed up with comfortable wins over Rathangan and Balyna and last weekends defeat to St Laurences.

The U-16’s Div 6 team have started with a draw against Maynooth and defeats to Naas, Moorefield and Celbridge. The U-14’s haven’t quite got off the mark yet with defeats to strong Moorefield, Kilcock and Naas teams.

Saturday morning 11am training for underage boys and girls from age 5 to 11 got underway at Raheens, in lovely sunshine and the new pitch in great condition.

There will be no training on Easter Sat. New players welcome throughout the year. Charity Golf

KARE Open Golf Competition will take place in the Curragh Golf Club on Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th April. The price is €10 for members of the Curragh and €15 for visitors. All proceeds in aid of KARE.
