The poor form of Ballykelly’s senior men’s team continued in the league this week. They lost two games following defeats to Two-Mile House and Castlemitchell.
The lads were missing a few players due to work, injuries and exams. Hopefully their fortunes will change when these players return.
The Under 12 girls played Milltown in the league. The girls tried their best but Milltown came out on top with a hard earned victory.
The girls can look forward to their next match with confidence given the hard work and the team effort that they displayed on the night.
Ballykelly Under 10 girls travelled to Castledermot for a blitz where they played the hosts and St. Laurences. The girls played well in all of their games and they can be proud of their efforts in the maroon jersey.
Following on from their impressive victory over Nurney on Monday night, our second team continued their winning ways with a comprehensive victory over Suncroft on Friday night. With just three games remaining the lads are well in contention in the league.
The U14 boys led going deep into added time in their round 3 clash against Ellistown but it wasn’t to be the win they probably deserved as Ellistown kicked a last minute point to send both sides home with a share of the spoils.Final score Ballykelly 1.10 Ellistown 2.7.
