Special medal for Maurice

Congratulations to Maurice O’Sullivan Glenview Blessington who was presented with a special Medal by St. Vincent De Paul Society. Maurice has been involved with Blessington St. Vincent de Paul Conference for the past twenty –six years helping the less well off in our community. To honour his wonderful service with St. Vincent De Paul the Society presented him with a special Medal in Blessington. The presentation took place recently at a special Mass in the Church of Our Lady Blessington and doing the honours on behalf of the Society was Area President Carol Walsh from Blessington. It coincided with Maurice’s 80th Birthday. His family were present to see him receive the Medal. Maurice hails from the Kingdom of Kerry and first came to Blessington in the late 60’s as a member of An Garda Siochana. Although he later served in the Dublin area he returned to Blessington in the mid seventies and settled down in the town with his family.
