The E100 prize had five divides: M Cassidy c/o J Behan; R Byrne c/o C Byrne; A O’Sullivan c/o P Confrey; C A O’Brien c/o Bar, and R Dunne c/o T Flynn. The jackpot next week is E8,700.

Kill GAA briefs

Kill juniors defeated Kilcock on a score line of 3-20 to 0-6 in their latest game of the league. This was another good team performance against a weak Kilcock side where a brace of Ciaran Behan goals put the team on the road to victory in the first half, a third goal from Kevin Downey early in the second half secured victory. On a night when a lot of the lads played well, Brian Caul, Ruairi Connolly and Paul Kirwan were excellent.

Kill seniors were defeated by Straffan on a scoreline of 2-08 to 1-09, this was another game where with a little bit of luck the lads could have sneaked a victory. Goals either side of the half time break where the foundation of Straffan victory, the lads fought to the end and could have sneaked a win only for the woodwork to come to Straffans rescue, best for the Kill team where Kevin Corrigan, Tony Spain and Stephan O’Leary were excellent on the night.

The Kill Hawkfield bad run of luck struck again as the Under 14 football team came up short in their Feile shield final against a strong Monesterevin side. Next for the team is the league campaign which begins in May. The bitter taste of defeat will only help this hard working group, training every Wednesday and Sunday morning.

The club would like to wish its deepest sympathies to Christina Gobbett on the passing of her father last week.
