Veronica Aylmer (née McCoy) – Quinnagh, Carlow Town, Carlow / Castledermot

February 21 2019, died peacefully in the tender care of Gowran Abbey Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Dr. Patrick and much loved mother of Niamh, Ciaran, Grainné, Nessa and Patrick. Predecesased by her brothers Tommy and Paddy and her sisters Mary and Kathleen. Sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, daughters, brother Noel, sons-in-law Aidan, Bill and Brian, daughter-in-law Rowena, Patricks’ partner Yvonne, grandchildren Jack, Cian, Kate, Grace, Sophie and Emma, extended family, relatives and friends Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home Pollerton Castle, Carlow (Eircode R93TC53) on Friday from 4pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 12 noon in the Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow. Burial afterwards in Coltstown Cemetery, Castledermot. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to the Carlow/Kilkenny Home Care Team.


Jim Cody – Glendine, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny / Castledermot

February 21 2019, peacefully, at his home, Jim, (retired Manager, Bank of Ireland), dearly beloved husband of Margaret (nee KilBride) and the late May (O’Brien), father of William, John, Paul, Maeve, Susan and James, brother of Cella (Richardson), deeply regretted by his family, grandchildren, his dear friends and wonderful neighbours. Reposing in Johnston’s Funeral Home, John’s Green, Kilkenny (R95 XE00) on Sunday (24th February) from 4 o’clock with Funeral Prayers at 6.15 o’clock followed by removal to St. John’s Church, Kilkenny. Requiem Mass on Monday at 11.30 o’clock. Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 12 o’clock in the Church of the Assumption, Castledermot followed by burial in Coltstown Cemetery, Castledermot.


Marian Dolan (née O'Neill) – Hill View, Clonkeen, Carbury

February 20 2019, Suddenly & unexpectedly at home. Darling wife of Denis (Retired Garda, Edenderry) and loving, devoted and much loved mother of Aisling & Catriona. Loving sister of Jim and his partner Anne - Dunlavin, Anne Morgan and her husband John - Celbridge, Eamon and his wife Majella - Clonkeen, Pat and his partner Helen, Jeanette Dwyer and her husband Noel - Gowran, Frank and his partner Valerie, Yvonne Roberts and her husband Greg - Sandyford, her nephews, grandnephews, nieces, grandnieces. Fondly remembered by her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, her cousins and her wide circle of dear friends. Funeral Arrangements Later.


Margaret (Madge) O'Reilly – Pairc Mhuire, Newbridge

February 20 2019 (peacefully) in her 92nd year in the wonderful care of the nurses and staff of Suncroft Lodge Nursing Home. Margaret, loving wife of the late Jim and mother of the late Georgie; sadly missed by her loving daughters Maura (Forsyth) and Bridie (Bríd) (Ward), brothers Stephen and Paddy, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours, relatives and friends. Reposing at Anderson & Leahy's Funeral Home, Newbridge on Friday from 2pm with Removal that evening at 6pm to arrive at St. Conleth's Parish Church, Newbridge at 6.30pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday morning at 11am, with burial afterwards in St. Conleth's Cemetery, Newbridge. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to the Alzheimers Society of Ireland. Donations box in the Church.


Bernadette (Bernie) Toomey (née McGlynn) – Main St., Ballymore Eustace

February 20 2019. Wife of the late Patrick (Pat)) and loving mother of Sandra, Niamh and Fergal. Will be dearly missed by her family, sons-in-law, grandchildren Aisling and Lauren, brother Paddy, sister Eithne, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, good friends and neighbours. Reposing at Clarke’s Funeral Home, Burgage More, Blessington on Friday from 3.00 pm with removal on Friday evening to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballymore Eustace arriving at 7.30 pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 11.00 am followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
