Deaths in Kildare - Friday, February 1, 2019

Rev. FR. John Cummins – Ballinakill Road, Abbeyleix, Laois / Newbridge

January 30 2019, Following an accident. Former administrator Carlow Cathedrial,Chaplain I.T. Carlow and CC Naas. Predeceased by his father Con. Deeply regretted by his loving mother Renee, brothers Con and Gary, sister Maria, sister-in-law Yvonne, niece Caoimhe, nephews Conor and Daniel, extended famiy, Bishop Denis Nulty and the Priests of Kildare and Leighlin. Reposing in the Chapel Of Adoration adjoining the Church Of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix from 4pm on Friday with removal at 6.30 pm To The Church Of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix concluding with night prayer at 9pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 12 noon. Removal afterwards to his family home in Newbridge. Mass at 11am on Monday morning in St. Conleth's Parish Church, Newbridge with interment afterwards in St. Conleth's Cemetery, Newbridge.

 

Sean Byrne – Coill Dubh

January 29 2019, Peacefully at Naas Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Father of the late Martin. Sadly missed by his loving wife May, daughters Margaret, Jacqui, Valerie, Victoria and Rebecca, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, brother, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at his daughter Margaret Dowling’s house, Mylerstown (W91 RFY5) from 4pm on Friday with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Saturday morning at 10-15am to arrive at The Church Of Christ The King, Cooleragh for Requiem Mass at 11o’clock. Burial afterwards in Allen Cemetery.

 

John Cronnolly – Barbarstown, Straffan, Kildare / Swinford, Mayo

January 31 2019, peacefully, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Phyllis, sons Niall & Enda, daughters Breda & Sinead, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives & friends. Reposing at his residence on Saturday from 4-8pm. Removal on Sunday at 1.30pm to arrive at St. Brigid's Church, Straffan for 2pm funeral Mass, followed by burial in Straffan Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Friends of St. Brigid's Hospice, The Curragh.

 

John Farrell – North Summer Street, Dublin 1, Dublin / Robertstown

Beloved son of the late Sheila and Christopher. Sadly missed by his brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Reposing Friday at Jennings Funeral Home, Oscar Traynor Road with the family present from 2 o’c. Prayer service at 11 o’c on Saturday in the Funeral Home with removal to Allen Cemetery, Co. Kildare.

 

Pete Lynam – Johnstown Road, Enfield, Meath / Enfield, Kildare

Pete Lynam died peacefully after a short illness on January 14th 2019. Predeceased by his loving parents James & Christina Lynam, his sisters Maureen Hassett, Mal O' Dowd and Nuala McGinn. Sadly missed by his adoring partner Marianne, son Andreas, his daughter-in-law Uschi, his brother James Lynam, sister Phyllis Souhan, sister-in-law Josie, brother-in-law Garry. His extended family and grandchildren, all his nieces, nephews and friends. Burial wil take place in Germany on Friday February 1st 2019. Memorial Mass will be held in The Church of the Assumption, Jordanstown, Enfield (A83 Y021) on Saturday February 2nd 2019 at 11 am. No Flowers Please.

 

Billy Maguire – Mountmellick, Laois / Portlaoise, Laois / Newbridge

January 30 2019, Unexpectedly. Deeply regretted by his loving father Billy, mother Bernadette, sisters Margaret, Jennifer, Amanda, Tasha, brothers Kenneth, Ross and Robert, aunt Betty, grandmother Alice, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends. Reposing at his sister Margaret's residence, 14 Highfield Meadows, Borris Rd, Portlaoise, on Saturday from 3pm with rosary at 8pm. Removal on Sunday morning to SS Peter and Paul's Church, for 12:30pm requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in SS Peter and Paul's Cemetery, Portlaoise.

 

Doreen Morrissey (née Hogan) – Naas, Kildare / Sallins

January 30, 2019, (surrounded by her loving family), at Naas General Hospital, Doreen, beloved wife of Paul and dear mother of Susie; Very deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving husband, daughter, brother David, sisters Bonnie, Marie and Lorna, brothers-in-law, sisters-in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Reposing at her home on Friday from 4.00pm to 8.00pm with Prayers at 7.00pm. Removal on Saturday to the Church of Our Lady and the Guardian Angels, Sallins arriving for 11.00am Mass.
