Countess April Constance Merveldt (née ffrench-Mullen) – Ballymore Eustace

Died peacefully October 30 2018. Wife of the late Paul and beloved mother of Lorli (Higgins) Peetzy and Ben. Will be dearly missed by her family, son-in-law Michael (Higgins), grandchildren Mark, Alice, Emily and Philipp, brother Jarlath, sister-in-law Mirrie, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends. Reposing at her home on Thursday from 2.0’c to 8.0’c. Removal on Friday morning to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballymore Eustace arriving for 10.’c Funeral Mass followed by cremation in Newlands Cross Crematorium. Family flowers only please.


Annie Miskell (née Gallagher) – Millicent Cross, Clane

October 31 2018, peacefully in her 98th year in the loving care of the staff of Hazel Hall Nursing Home, Clane, beloved wife of the late John. Deeply regretted by her loving daughter Maura, son-in-law Michael, grandchildren John & David, nephews, nieces, relatives & friends. Reposing at Hazel Hall Nursing Home, Clane on Thursday from 6pm to 8pm. Removal on Friday at 10.30am to arrive at Clane Parish Church for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in Mainham Cemetery, Clane.


Kieran Smyth – 5 Acadamy Street, Kildare Town / Mullahoran, Cavan

October 31 2018, Poet and songwriter. Unexpectedly, aged 89 years. Predeceased by his nine siblings. He will be fondly rembered by his nephews, nieces, sister-in-law, his carer Eileen, friends and neighbours. Reposing on Friday evening from 4pm at Kildare Funeral Home, Fairgreen, Kildare Town, until removal at 5.45pm to St. Brigid's Parish Church, Kildare Town. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 11am, followed by burial in Mullahoran Cemetery, Co. Cavan (N39KA44) (near Granard) arriving 2pm approx.
