September 20, 2018. Peacefully, after a short illness. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (Betty), loving and cherished father to Philip, Paul, Bláthnaid and Sinéad and much loved grandfather to Rachel, Aoife, Daniel, Sam and Seán. He will be sadly missed by his children, grandchildren, daughter-in-law Leonie, son-in-law John, sisters-in-law Mary and Anna, brothers-in-law Gerald and Peter, nephews David, Robert and Jonathan, niece Alice, extended family, and very wide circle of friends, especially his former colleagues, fellow radio amateurs and members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the exceptional staff of St Vincent’s Private Hospital for their tender care. Removal from Carnegies Funeral Home, The Crescent, Monkstown this Friday (September 21) afternoon to St John the Baptist Church, Blackrock, arriving at 5pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday (September 22) at 10am, celebrated by his very close friend Fr. Philip O’Driscoll, followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery. Donations, in lieu of flowers, to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.

Reposing at Murphy Brothers Funeral Home, Church Lane, Naas, on Friday from 6pm to 8pm. With prayers at 7.30pm. Removal from there on Saturday morning (September 22) to The Church of The Sacred Heart and St. Brigid, Kilcullen arriving for 11am Funeral Mass. Funeral afterwards to Newlands Cross Crematorium.
