Deaths in Kildare - Thursday, March 29, 2018

Seán Francis Grealy – Knightsbridge, Trim, Meath / Glencalry, Mayo / Rathcoffey

Captain, Merchant Navy (retired). Peacefully at his residence, March 27 2018. Predeceased by his sister Áine. Sadly regretted by his daughters Muireann and Blinne, brothers Micheál and Séamus, sister Cáit (Crilly), nephews and nieces, relatives, and many friends around the world. Reposing at Knightsbridge Nursing Home, Longwood Road, Trim, on Holy Thursday (March 29) and Good Friday (March 30). Reposing at Heffernan's Funeral Home, High Street, Trim, on Easter Monday (April 2) from 10am to 11am followed by removal to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Rathcoffey, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Mainham Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to the Apostleship of the Sea (Stella Maris) or the Ankylosing Spondylitis Association of Ireland.

 

Thomas (Tom) Dowling – Naas

March 27, 2018, (following a short illness, heroically fought with dignity and courage), Thomas (Tom), beloved husband of Máirín (Nic Sheanlaoich), adored Dad of Tony, Wendy, Nigel, Feidhlim and Caoimhe and dear brother of Pat, Noel, Vincent, Brendan and the late Ann; Sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughters, brothers, sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren Finn, Freya, Patrick and Elliott, extended family Heather, Sighle, Valda and Simrat, relatives and wide circle of friends. Reposing at his home on Friday (March 30) from 5.00pm to 8.00pm with Prayers at 7.00pm. Removal on Saturday (March 31) to the Church of Our Lady and St. David, Naas arriving for 10.00am Prayer Service. Funeral immediately afterwards to St. Corban’s Cemetery, Naas. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to St. Vincent de Paul Naas.

 

Denis Meredith – Ballyfinnen, Ballylinan, Athy

March 27 2018, Deeply regretted by his sister Rhoda, brother Ronnie, nieces Carol, Wendy, Ann and Kendra, relatives and friends. Reposing at Rigneys Funeral Home, Athy from 12 noon on Thursday (March 29). Removal at 2.30pm on Thursday afternoon to arrive at Castletown Church for funeral service at 3pm. Burial afterwards in Rosenallis Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to The Involvement Centre, St. Dympna's Hospital, Carlow.

 

Sarah O'Brien (née Humphries) – Lipstown, Narraghmore, Athy

March 16 2018, Mother of the Late Ciarán. Deeply regretted by her loving husband John, sons John, David and Declan, brothers, sisters, daughters-in-law, partners, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Reposing at Rigney's Funeral Home, Athy from 4pm on Sunday (April 1) with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Monday afternoon (April 2) at 1.15pm to arrive at the Church of Saints Mary and Laurence, Crookstown for Requiem Mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
