Tributes paid to Celbridge, Kildare man who passed this week

Heartfelt tributes have poured in following the passing of Celbridge, Kildare man, Patrick Russell, who passed away on July 1 last.

Patrick Russell (Celbridge, Co Kildare and formerly of Kildonan Drive, Finglas West, Dublin 11) – July 1 2025, (peacefully), after a long illness and well fought battle, surrounded by his loving family, at Tallaght University Hospital.

Patrick (Pat), beloved husband of Muriel and dear father of Daire, Aoife, Caoimhe, Oisín, Chloe and Megan.

Pre-deceased by his mother Kathleen and brother Robert. Sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughters, brother James, sons-in-law Simon and Adam, daughters-in-law Lisa and Rachel, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren Callum, Kayden, Madison, Eli, Ella, Harper, Mossie, Che and Noah, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Tributes paid to Pat on RIP.ie this week include: “Sincere sympathy to Aoife, Simon, Eli, Ella, Noah, Muriel and all the Russell family, on the sad passing of your Dad. May Patrick Rest In Peace.”

And: “Sincere condolences to you Muriel and your family and also to James on the passing of Pat, thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. Go raibh suaimhneas síoraí ort, a Phat.”

While another mourner wrote: “Sincerest condolences to Muriel, Daire, Caoimhe, Oisin, Chloe, Megan, and his brother James on the passing of Pat. Always a welcome visitor in West Kerry visiting his relatives. May he rest in eternal Peace.”

And another added: “Sincere condolences to Muriel and all the family. May Pat's soul rest in peace.”

Reposing at his home on Friday from 12pm to 7pm.

Removal on Saturday to Glasnevin Crematorium arriving for 1:30pm Service.

Family flowers only please.
