NAAS-based car auction company Merlin has been voted one of the best small workplaces, according to an assessment by Great Place to Work Ireland.
The CEO of GPWI John Ryan said he award recognised Merlin’s ongoing commitment to people practices which will establish “a firm base for business success in 2012 and beyond.” The assessment uses confidential employee feedback to identify employers who follow a policy of creating positive workplaces in which management build high-trust relationships with their employees, based on mutual respect. Similar studies are conducted in 45 countries across the world.
Merlin is based at Newhall, just off the Rathangan Road and has won several business awards. Dave Byrne, Managing Director of Merlin Group, said: “This is the first year that the awards scheme has included a category for businesses with less than 50 employees. We scored 84% in the staff confidential surveys.”
Merlin focuses on car auctions and property auction and it has been based in Naas for almost five years, since April 2007.
The company has a total of 42 employees.
