CORE Group meeting.

The CORE Group meeting will be held on tomorrow Wed 20th March at 8 pm in the Community Development office in the Old Credit Union.

As usual there will be a topic for everyone in the audience, ranging from Town services, Tidy Towns, Security, Website, Business, Amenities, Community Centre Building Fund, to Youth and The Gathering. All are welcome.

Drama Festival Continues

Rathangan Drama Festival continues its successful run this week, tonight Tuesday 19th March The Rasper Players Gorey present ‘Carthaginians’ by Frank McGuinness. Wednesday

20th The Bradan Players Leixlip present ‘ In how I learned to drive’ by Paula Bogel. Thursday 21st March Thurles Drama Group present ‘All my Sons’ by Arthur Miller and Friday

22nd March Final night, Prosperous Drama Society present ‘The Goat’ or ‘Who is Sylvia’ by Edward Albee followed by the final adjudication by Ann Meketarian. Admission €10

concessions and OAP €5. A night at the Theatre and tea at interval for this modest price, must be the best value around.

Tidy Town

The Tidy Town Committee are delighted once again to have workers under the Tus Scheme. Already they have transformed the River Walk from the Town Bridge to New Street and

have done a major clean up on Tannery Park and ongoing maintenance at Kilnthomas Wood which has involved resurfacing more of the paths. The T T Committee are asking all of

us to make a special effort this year particularly on Main Street and who knows a National Award could come our way. PS a few ‘bob’ in the collection boxes would also help.

Tennis Club Easter Camp

Rathangan Tennis Club are running a four day Easter Camp for Children commencing Monday 25th to Thursday 28th March. Children 6 to 9yrs from 10am to 12pm and 10 plus

years 12pm to 2pm. The Camp cost €30 for Members and €40 for Non Members. to book a place please contact Gary on 087 7679328.

Daffodil Day Coffee Morning and Cake Sale

The Parents Association of Bun Scoil Bhride will be hosting their Annual Daffodil Day Coffee Morning and Cake Sale in aid of the Irish Cancer Society on this Friday March

22nd in the School from 9.30 am to 12 pm. The Coffee Morning is an opportunity to come out for a cup of coffee, meet your friends and support this worthy cause. Donations of

cakes would be much appreciated. A fund raising raffle will also be held. Everyone welcome. For enquiries contact Siobhan Dunne at 087 2036620.
