Kildare’s second team got two out of five points against St Laurences last week. The team was t. Martin, A.Doyle. C.Moore H Kelly J.Rowan L.Braitwaite L. Coughlan J . Ryan. On Nov 29th the club are hopsting a Xmas party for H.O.P.E. and a great night is anticipated.
Santa Googled ‘looking for a good day out in Kildare on the 8th December’ and the most exciting option he could find was to head for the CMWS Hall & Aras Bhride in Kildare Town!!
Kildare Parish Pastoral Council and Kildare Derby Festival are hosting a Winter Wonderland Craft Fair & Santa’s Grotto on Saturday 8th December 2012 from 12pm to 6pm in the CMWS Hall & Aras Bhride Kildare Town. The craft fair will be held in the main CMWS Hall and Aras Bhride and will be packed with stalls full of Christmas Gift Ideas and goodies! The stalls will comprise of items such as jewellery, home baking, arts and crafts, sweet hampers, cosmetic hampers to name but a few. Entry to Craft Fair is Free. We will have 2 special visitors. Entry to see Santa is €5.00 with discounts for families with 3 or more children.Booking is essential at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 045 521000. Throughout the day in the main hall there will be dance and music performances by a variety of local groups and solo artists all adding to the very festive mood. Tea/Coffee/Minerals and snacks will be available throughout the day in a seated canteen area. A raffle with top prizes will also be held on the day. At 5.30pm Santa & Mrs Clause will leave by Horse & Cart while the elves lead a lantern light procession to the grounds of the Parish Church where carol singing will take place around the live crib. Families are then invited into the Family Mass for 6.30pm.
Kildare Town Bowls
Practice every Monday and Thursday at 7pm in the CMWS. Beginners welcome. Congratulations to Fintan Downeys team who won the big tournament in Killarney recently and brought the cup home to Kildare for the second year in a row. Last year John Gleeson was the captain. Fintan also was on the winning team that won the plate at the Ryston Tournament along with Marg Gorry, Jim Condron,Leslie Braitwaite. Well done to all.

AT Kildare town library every Friday at 11 – 11.30 am we have story time with Carmel. Carmel reads stories to 0 – 5yrs olds. Everyone is welcome.
