Congratulations to the boys and girls from Allen Parish who were so successful at the recent Leinster Dancing Championships at the Basketball Arena, Tallaght.

Representing Scoil Rince Chill Dara they won competitions at U9, U10, U11, U13, U14, U15 and Over 15 in Solo and Team Dancing. Well done to everyone concerned.

Robertstown G.F.C. Sponsored St. Stephen’s Day Swim.

The Club is organising a Sponsored Swim in the Grand Canal on St. Stephen’s Day at 12 noon. Please support our Brave Members who will take the plunge and help to raise much needed money for the Club.

Sponsorship Cards will be distributed during the week.

A Fun Football Challenge will be held that afternoon to help blow away any over indulgences of the previous day.

Milltown GFC held their Annual General Meeting on Saturday, November 24, the following were elected. President Mick Byrne Snr. Vice Presidents Fr E. Moore, John O’Connor, Mick Hanlon Snr., Seamus Field and Tom Field, Patron Frank Kelly, Chairman Fran O’ Sullivan, Vice-Chairman To be confirmed, Secretary Joan Cash, Assistant Secretary Siobhan Byrne, Treasurer Paddy Keogh, Assistant Treasurers Mary O’Reill and Liz O’Shea, PRO Pearl Voigt, Assistant PRO Paul Delahunty, County Board Delegate Arthur Voigt, Patricia O’Sullivan, Irish and Cultural Officer Paul Delahunty. Player’s rep to be decided.

The Club is preparing for a very exciting year as we are celebrating 125 years affiliated to the GAA in 2013 , many events are planned to mark this special year as well as the launch of the club Book .

The footballers are taking a well earned rest until the lights are switched back on and training begins again in the New Year.

Scoil Naoh Mhuire Staplestown are holding the official opening of the new school extension on Wednesday on December 19 at 7pm.We would like to welcome anyone who would like to attend for an evening of music and light refreshments.
