Our minor lads kept their excellent league form going on Sunday morning when they saw off the challenge of Sallins in Ballykelly on Sunday morning. Trailing by four points at half time the lads dug deep and outscored their opponents by 8 points in an excellent second half display to leave the final score Ballykelly 0:15 Sallins 0:11 Well done lads

Our u14 boys registered a win in the third round of the Feile on Sunday morning when they travelled to Robertstown. The lads came through on a scoreline of Ballykelly 2.6 Robertstown 3.1. They lads have now qualified for the qtr final of the Feile shield. Well done lads.

Our u14 girls welcomed Raheens and Milltown into club grounds on Sunday morning for a Feile blitz. The girls played really well in both games and can count themselves really unlucky not to win both games as it took last gasp scores in both games from their opponents to leave both matches finished as draw matches. The first game against Milltown finished 1:3 apiece while the second against Raheens finishing 1:4 all square. As Milltown registered a win against Raheens it will be Milltown who progress from the group but our girls can be very proud of their efforts.

On behalf of the committee of Rhiain of hope: This committee was formed when a child from within our community was diagnosed with liver cancer. Rhíaín is twenty two months old. He is the youngest of five children. At the dawn of 2013 Rhíaín was diagnosed with liver cancer. Chemotherapy started within two weeks of diagnosis. Rhíaín will shortly travel to England where in King’s College Hospital London his treatment will continue further. Rhíaín, a little boy of smiles, a little boy of energy, a beautiful child who doesn’t understand, a little boy who knows not what lies ahead of him, but we know the enormity of the challenge Rhíaín and his family must overcome.

To all landowners. The club have nine juvenile teams playing from September to May.The adult teams play from February to October. Heavy usage, coupled with an extraordinarily wet eighteen months has caused considerable damage to both surfaces. The Club are appealing for the temporary use of an area approximately 100 X 80 Yards so it can carry out remedial work on their own playing surfaces. The existing Public Liability insurance will be transferred to the proposed area. If you can help, please contact Kevin 0868644782.
