STUDENTS at Piper’s Hill College, Naas, have compiled an Irish poetry book.
Participating in one of the competitions during the “Seachtain na Gaeilge” celebrations, over 70 students wrote poetry in Irish.
The result was “Smaointe Filíochta”, a compilation of their poems. The book of poetry was launched on Thursday, 2 June, at the Kilcullen Road school. Profits generated from the sale of the book will be donated to the Centre for Cardiovascular Risk in Younger Persons at Tallaght Hospital.
