Dunlavin Community First responders will hold a sponsored Lugnaquilla walk on
Saturday 11th May for anyone interested.
Dunlaving Community PLAY SCHOOL
Dunlavin Community Play School will hold its enrolment night on Wednesday April 17 at 8.30pm.
This is a great opportunity to book your child’s place for September.
We will be providing information about the playschool and discussing the ‘Free Pre-
School Year’ (ECCE) scheme . Tea and Coffee will be served and all are welcome.’
Care and Repair service for older people
Co. Wicklow Partnership in conjunction with Age Action Ireland are introducing a
Care and Repair service for older people in your area.
If you are an older person and
need help with small household jobs, you can now contact Co. Wicklow Partnership
and have these jobs done for you.
This is a free service and you only pay for materials if needed.
The service uses our team of handypersons employed on the Tús programme to carry out minor home tasks and small repair jobs.
The most common services required are: Minor gardening, minor painting, changing plugs, fuses and light bulbs, hanging curtains, installing security locks, chains and smoke alarms.

Hollywood Goes Classical
Philip Scott, Tenor, performs at a concert at Hollywood National School on Sunday April 21,
Philip Scott will be the featured artist accompanied by Coleman Pearse on piano.

The annual trip from Baltinglass to Knock takes place on July 21. Staying for 3 days in the convent full board and
transport staying with group all in cost €275.
Tidy Towns is seeking volunteers
The Tidy Towns are looking for volunteers to help raise funds for our annual draw and keep our town free of litter.
Buala Bus in West Wicklow
Buala Bus will visit Dunlavin and Glending Est in Blessington on 10am - 12noon and Glending Est. 2pm - 4pm on April 15 instead.

and play upstairs while their parents/guardians can avail of tea or coffee downstairs. There is a €2 charge aboard

CECIL DAY LEWIS LITERARY AWARDS 2013
The closing date for entries to 2013 Cecil Day Lewis Literary Awards Festival is Friday 19th April.
Literary Competition, Short Story, Poetry and One Act Play.
It is open to Primary and Secondary School Students and Individuals up to 18 years old in County Kildare.
Primary School - Short Story and Poetry Categories.
Junior Cycle aged 9 and under
Senior Cycle age 10-12 years attending primary schools
Secondary School - Short Story, Poetry & One Act Play Categories
Junior Cycle 1st year – 3rd year
Senior Cycle 4th year – 6th year
Application Forms and terms and conditions are available from Athy Heritage Centre-Museum, Town Hall, Emily Square, Athy, Co. Kildare.
Students can submit one entry under each section if they wish.
Trophies, Book tokens and Certificates are given to 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each category.
We also give out Highly Commended Certificates.
