Late Mickey Hoey
The people of Ballyfore, Edenderry and surrounding areas were very
saddened on the death of Mickey Hoey who died on Wednesday, 10th April
after a long illness.
Mickey was extremely well-known as a top-class mechanic and for many
years he operated a garage on the Dublin road of which he was co-owner.
He served his time to the motor trade in Kilcock and he soon progressed to
earn the reputation as a very good Mechanic.
He had a great love for GAA and especially his own club of Ballyfore, where
he was very popular with all the players and officials. He supported Offaly and
never missed a game.
His funeral to St. Mary’s Church on Friday was overflowing with mourners. His
burial took place to the adjoining cemetery.
Sincere sympathy is extended to his wife Vera, sons Christopher,
Michael, Thomas and Martin, daughters Helen, Dolores and Cora, brother
Liam, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, sister-in-law, grandchildren, great-
grandchildren, relatives and a large circle of friends.
May He Rest In Peace.
