MISCELLANY ON SUNDAY 2012
Phena Birmingham reminds us that the annual “Miscellany on Sunday 2012 is in aid of Fr John Bermingham’s Mission in Mozambique. The event will take place on Sunday December 2nd at 2pm at Fr. John’s home, Mooretown, Kilcullen. The usual mulled wine /mince pies/tea/coffee/minerals can be enjoyed while being entertained by the many musicians/singers/readers. CHRISTMAS AND ART FAIR
We will have a full report in next week’s Notes on the Annual Christmas Art and Craft Fair held in St. Laurence’s Community Complex at the week-end.
Susan Waters tells us that the Plans and Drawings for the Tanyard renovations will be on display in the coming weeks in St Lawrence’s Club House and the library in Ballitore following a display at the craft fair in the Clubhouse.
SCOR NA nOG
Kildare Scór na nÓg Final [under 17 ] will be held in Allenwood GAA on Sunday 2nd December. All GAA clubs are asked to promote participation in Scór Competitions. There are 2 divisions in Scór; Scór na nÓg (under 17) which will begin on 2nd December, and Scór Sinsear (over 17) which will be held in February.
IRELAND REACHING OUT
The next meeting will take place in Molly O’Looney’s on Monday December 3rd at 8pm. If anyone is interested in taking on another ‘parish’ site is also welcome to this meeting. Ireland Reaching Out are looking to help and train local people in communities to proactively research, reach out and contact their dispora.
SOUTH KILDARE ACTIVE RETIREMENT MEETING
The monthly meeting of the South Kildare Active Retirement takes place in Moone Hall on Thursday November 29th at 7.30pm. Please note change of time, due to facilitating Eddie Hennessy of Kildare Sports Partnership to give a demonstration on the “Go for Life Games” - Lobbers, Skittles, and Disc Toss. Marie Corcoran PRO reminds us that the Rathvilly Garden and Flower Club will meet on Wednesday 28th November at 8pm in St. Patrick’s Sports and Community Centre, Rathvilly. This will be our Christmas night with Diane Gallagher an A.O.I.F.A Demonstrator and Teacher. Diane will be demonstrating Arrangements for the Christmas season, all of which will be raffled on the night,. Mulled Wine and mince pies will be served.
