Spring has arrived

Spring has arrived

As Spring has arrived the members of Clane Musical Society present their musical concert aptly named ‘Sing into Spring’ in the Westgrove Hotel, Clane this Friday 8th February at 8pm.   

A great night’s entertainment is guaranteed with plenty of musical numbers and some wonderful dance routines.  

Tickets for this wonderful musical bouquet ‘Sing into Spring’ are available in Marron’s Pharmacy in Clane or by contacting Anne Noonan on 087-6897376.

Tickets will be available at the door on Friday 8th.

Scoil Phádraig and Scoil Bhríde

Enrolment for Junior Infants, 2013/2014. Dates: Monday, February 11th, Tuesday, February 12th, Wednesday, February 13th Times: 9.30a.m. – 12noon and 1.30p.m. to 2.30p.m. Location: Entrance Lobby.

Parents should bring along  a copy of the Child’s Birth Certificate, Baptismal Certificate (if Baptised outside of the Parish of Clane) and copy of a Utilities Bill.

Variety Show

Variety Show will take place in Clane G.A.A. on Saturday 16th February.  Admission  5 euro.  Doors open at 7.30.  Show at 8pm.

Lots of special guests.  Please support.  Proceeds to the St. Patrick’s Day Festival.

Clane GAA

A family Race Day with a Twist takes place in the club on Sunday 17th February at 3pm. Registration (Membership) morning for 2013 takes place on Sunday 24th February from 12:30pm to 2:30pm in the club hall.

All playing members and new members should ensure they register on the today.

The following rates apply: Full Playing Membership €80, Full Membership €70, Family Membership €120, Juvenile €50, Social €35, Student/Apprentice €50.

Remember if you are a player and have not paid by 31st March, you will not be covered by insurance. New members always welcome. Bingo has returned on Tuesday nights at 8.30pm.

The Jackpot is now €2,200 and there are many cash prizes on the night. Lotto Results for Sunday 27th January: Jackpot €10,800. Numbers: 3, 14, 17 and 24. No Winner. €25 winners drawn on the night: Ann Holland, Martine Browne, Eimear O’Flaherty and Joe Conboy. Jackpot on 28th January €10,800. Tickets cost €2 or 3 for €5.

The Minor Football league commences next Sunday 10th February and the Aldridge Cup for the Seniors commences the following Saturday 16th.

Fixtures have yet to be released by the county board. Congratulations to Dave Hanrahan who has been appointed Senior Hurling manager for 2013.

All managers of teams should now have received the pitch training timetable by e-mail – can all teams please adhere to the timetable as space is limited.

If a team want to change training times etc, a week’s notice must be provided. Underage football and hurling training will be resuming shortly – managers will be in contact with players.

If there are any new players who would like to play, please contact the club after 4pm on 045-868577 and the lads will put you in the right direction.
