Fundraisings quiz for Kilimanjaro Challengers
There will be a Fundraising Table Quiz in aid of Aware and Focus Ireland Kilimanjaro Climb in the Burrow on this Friday 19th April 8.30pm.
Table of 4 is €20.
There will also be a raffle for lots of prizes.

Rathangan Community Centre host first Tour de Bog Cycle Event
With the weather at last beginning to warm up, Rathangan Community Centre Association are organising the first ever ‘Tour de Bog Cycle Event’ for the 19th May.
There will be 100k, 50k and 10k (Family) marshalled cycles, meaning that there is something for all abilities.
Registration is €20 per cyclist for 100k and 50k and €20 per family for the 10k Family Cycle.
The event is being kindly sponsored by Centra Rathangan. So get in shape.
Proceeds will go to the redevelopment of the Community Centre, which will create a modern, multi purpose Centre and facilitate a wider range of activities, provide a dedicated Youth Space in the Village Centre, reposition the Community Centre to better meet the needs of the Community, facilitate cultural and artistic development in the Community, animate individuals and re energize Community Groups to meet their own needs and conserve a key element of Rathangan’s architectural heritage. All aims worthy of our support.
Tidy Town Litter Pick
The Tidy Town Group kicked off their 2013 campaign with a ‘Litter Pick’ on Saturday April 13th.
With the Tus Scheme in place and the excellent road resurfacing on the Lock Road the Village is beginning to look good, this could be the year for a big advance if we all do our little bit.
Moore Abbey Share a Break information evening
Moore Abbey (Muiriosa Foundation) are looking for Volunteers for their Share a Break Scheme to host an adult with an intellectual disability in your home.
They are holding an Information Evening in the KARE McMahon Centre, Kilcullen on Tuesday 16th April at 7pm.

Kilimanjaro Challenge table quiz
All you Table Quiz fans put a note in your diary for Friday 19th April when there will be a Table Quiz in the Burrow in aid of the Kilimanjaro Challenge in aid of Aware and Focus Ireland which includes three pupils from Ard Scoil Rath Iomghain.

CECIL DAY LEWIS LITERARY AWARDS 2013
The closing date for entries to 2013 Cecil Day Lewis Literary Awards Festival is
Friday 19th April. Literary Competition, Short Story, Poetry and One Act Play. It is open to Primary and Secondary School Students and Individuals up to 18 years old in County Kildare.
Primary School - Short Story and Poetry Categories.
Junior Cycle aged 9 and under
Senior Cycle age 10-12 years attending primary schools
Secondary School - Short Story, Poetry & One Act Play Categories
