LOCAL HISTORY GROUP
The next meeting of the local History Group will take on tuesday 26th of February - John St Leger and the Grangemellon Hellfire Club with David Ryan, author and historian. David Ryan is the author of the recently published book Blasphemers & Blackguards: The Irish Hellfire Clubs an examination of a topic shrouded in sensational rumour and lurid myth of black magic and murder. While the popular image of the Hellfire clubs is not entirely baseless there is also a whole other dimension of Enlightenment philosophy and free-thought.
PARENT AND TODDLER GROUP
Tir na nÓg parent and toddler group now opens on Mondays and Wednesdays. All pre-school children and their parents, grandparents or minders are welcome to come any Monday or Wednesday at 9.30am to 12 noon.
The group meet in Scoil Diarmuid. The cost is €2 per family. Great way for children to play with each others and for the adults to have a “cuppa” and chat.
BRING AND BUY POULTRY
The Ballitore Bring and Buy poultry sale takes place at Long Avenue, Ballitore, Co Kildare on the 2nd Sunday of every month.
