Irish National Stud in sales mission to boost American tourist numbers to Kildare

Tourism Ireland, together with a delegation of 12 Irish tourism companies, including Kildare's Irish National Stud and Japanese Gardens, recently undertook a sales blitz to the US to entice American tourists to Kildare.

The schedule took in Washington DC, Atlanta (Georgia) and Boca Raton (Florida).

The schedule included a B2B event in each city, with an interactive presentation showcasing Ireland – giving the participating companies, including the Irish National Stud and Japanese Gardens, a platform to promote and sell to the key American decision-makers in attendance. 

Tourism Ireland has prioritised North America, as a market which offers a strong return on investment, in terms of holiday visitors and expenditure. In 2019, Tourism Ireland aims to surpass the record-breaking performance of 2018 and to grow revenue from North American visitors by €1.99 billion generated by 2.17 million visitors 

Similar events will take place in Chicago, Boston and Dallas, in April; and on the west coast of the US in late 2019.
