Rushe's SuperValu Naas and Spar Heaphy in Allenwood were both nominated for a prestigious Q Mark Award for Hygiene and Food Safety at this year’s National Q Mark Awards.

Rushe's SuperValu Naas is  a family business serving the local community of Naas. The business first opened its doors over 30 years ago and has an outstanding team of sixty employees.

Spar  Allenwood  is  part  of  the  larger  H2  Group  operating  a  network  of  award  winning  stores  in  Ireland  in  partnership  with  BWG  Spar  and  Texaco  fuel  since  2004 “National  Q  Mark  Awards  2018.

“We  are  thrilled  to  be  nominated  for  such  a  prestigious  award,  providing  a  safe,  clean  environment  for  our  customers  and  staff  is  our  top  priority  and  we  are  delighted  that  our  hard  work  and  dedication  is  appreciated"  said Sean  Heaphy,  Managing  Director.

This nomination means they were in the top 6.75% of all audits completed by the EIQA.  The Q Mark is awarded only to companies who achieve the highest standards of quality and excellence.  This was a very special year for the Q Mark Awards as the Excellence Ireland Quality Association (EIQA) celebrate 50 years trading.
