Irish Water is still advising customers in Kildare that due to the extremely cold weather conditions and exceptionally high water demand, some water treatment plants in the county are struggling to keep up with supply demands.
According to Irish Water Monasterevin is back in action with the Wellfield's water treatment plant back in full production since Saturday afternoon and all customers should have a mains water supply. However a number of estates in Celbridge are still being affected.
"Low pressure in the network is affecting a number of estates in Celbridge, our crews are carrying out further works to resolve these today. A number of stand pipes will be available shortly for residents. We will provide a further update of progress to fix the issue on our website at www.water.ie and on Twitter @IWCare. Kildare County Council have advised that the road conditions in North Kildare are very poor which is having an impacting on the full mobilisation of crews."
Irish Water’s customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1850 278 278 or on Twitter @IWCare and customers can contact for updates.
