Hollywood memorabilia including iconic pieces from The Sopranos, Star Trek, and even Marilyn Monroe’s X-Rays will be on show at Newbridge Silverware’s Museum of Style Icons until October 27 while original props and costumes from the epic fantasy Lord of the Rings series will be on display until November 17.
The exhibit includes a set of X-rays that prove screen goddess Marilyn Monroe had cosmetic surgery on her nose and chin as well as actor William Shatner’s signed jersey and boots from the Star Trek series.
Aficionados of television series ‘The Sopranos’ can get up close and personal with one of the original tracksuits donned by the renowned TV mobster. The Lord of the Rings exhibition includes Gandalf’s wizard staff, Frodo’s swords, Hobbit Samwise’s feet and ears and even the original prototype of the Ring. It also includes the Shards of Narsil.
The memorabilia make up the only items outside director’s Peter Jackson’s own collection ever to be released from the films. They will go to auction by entertainment auction house, Julien’s Auctions in California.
