Kildare's All Time Greats: #9 Johnny Doyle

Vote Johnny Doyle as Kildare's All Time Great

One of Kildare’s favourite sons, Johnny Doyle played with his county from 2000 to 2014. A prolific scorer, he was on the Kildare side that won the Leinster Senior Football Championship title in 2000, under the legendary Mick O’Dwyer.

A member of the Allenwood Club, he won Football of the Year in Kildare twice, 2004 and 2005, while also winning a county championship in that first year.

He has one All Staar (2010) to his credit and has played close to 70 times for Kildare in a long and successful career scoring a total of 8-260. He played for Ireland against Australia in the Compromise Rules Series in 2013 in Croke Park.

A full time GAA coach in Kildare, Johnny is the present manager of Maynooth University Sigerson Cup side.
