The snow certainly didn't dampen spirits today.
Snaps are doing the rounds of the county looking simply stunning, covered in a blanket of snow.
Schools remain closed Thursday and Friday, and many public transport services are cancelled.
Met Eireann has issued a red weather warning for Kildare up until noon on Friday.
It says blizzard-like conditions will develop in heavy snow and strong easterly winds on Thursday evening and will continue Thursday night and Friday morning giving significant snow drifts in many areas.
The warning will come into effect on Thursday at 4pm and remain in place until noon on Friday.
