RIP: Tributes paid to 'fabulous young man' from Kildare

Heartfelt tributes have been paid to a “fabulous young man” from Celbridge, Co Kildare who passed recently.

Michael (Mike) Scott, Celbridge, Co Kildare passed away on July 26 2026.

Michael is the beloved son of John and Joanne and much-loved brother of Mikayla, Bobbi, Eric, James and the late Kelly.

Michael is sadly missed by his loving mother, father, brothers and sisters and their partners Jamie, Emma and Luke, grandparents Martin (Kilbane) and Finbar and Catherine (Scott), extended family and friends.

He will repose privately at home with his family.

Michael’s Funeral Service will take place in Cunninghams Funeral Home, Celbridge (W23 AK13) on Tuesday morning (4th August) at 11am followed by burial in Donacomper Cemetery, Celbridge.

Tributes paid to Michael on RIP.ie include the following: “I'm so very sad to hear of Michael's passing, he was a wonderful boy, and no doubt a fabulous young man. I have lovely memories of him in 5th class, always kind and a lovely sense of humour. You are all in my thoughts during this very difficult time. May he rest in peace.”

And: “I am so shocked and saddened to hear this devastating news. I have the fondest memories of Michael in Scoil Mochua. He brought so much fun and laughter to our Junior Infant classroom. He was such a kind and gentle boy and I feel privileged to have been his teacher.”

While another mourner wrote: “Heartfelt condolences to you all and to all Michael's friends and extended family. Rest in Peace, Michael.”

And another added: “Joanne, we are thinking of you and all the family. We are so incredibly sorry to hear of your devastating loss. Keeping the Kilbane & Scott families in our thoughts during this unimaginable time. RIP Michael.”
