Ferns Bridge in Monasterevin

Construction is continuing on a €3.7 million residential development at Ferns Bridge in Monasterevin, Co. Kildare, which will provide 24 new homes.

The development, valued at €3.7 million, is being delivered by Masonbrook Holdings Ltd and received planning approval earlier this year.

Work began on June 8, with construction of five houses listed on September 7.

The project comprises 14 two- and three-bedroom terraced houses, along with 10 one-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom duplex units contained within a three-storey block.

The development is located on a site of approximately 0.71 hectares, with vehicular access provided from Ferns Avenue to the north. The scheme will connect to internal roads within the wider Ferns Bridge development.

As part of the project, developers will also provide public open spaces, landscaping, boundary treatments, car and bicycle parking, and bin storage facilities.

The development has a total floor area of approximately 2,410 square metres.

Masonbrook Holdings Ltd is listed as both the applicant and main contractor, with Davey + Smith Architects appointed as architect and certifier. Kilgallen & Partners Consulting Engineers are providing engineering services, while Gannon & Associates are responsible for the landscape architecture.

The planning application was submitted in June 2025, with a decision issued on February 13, 2026.

The project is classified as a private residential new-build development.
