Fundraising night for Naas Musical Society

Three nights of classic hits, lively choreography and performances
Naas Musical Society is inviting audiences to step back in time this autumn with a spectacular celebration of one of music's most iconic decades.
The society will present Sounds of the 70s – A Musical Journey at the Moat Theatre in Naas from Tuesday, November 3, to Thursday, November 5, with performances beginning at 8pm each evening.
The annual fundraising concert promises three nights of classic hits, lively choreography and performances from members of the long-established local society.
The production is directed by Claire O'Reilly, Sean O'Keeffe and David Kirk, with Tom Joyce serving as Musical Director and Chloe Connolly as Choreographer.
Audiences can expect a programme packed with some of the biggest songs of the 1970s, including Elton John's Crocodile Rock, Elvis Presley's Burning Love, the Time Warp, an ABBA medley and a James Bond tribute, alongside a host of other well-known favourites.
Proceeds from the concert will support Naas Musical Society's 2027 production of The Clockmaker's Daughter, which is scheduled to run at the Moat Theatre from March 6 to March 12 next year.
The concert is one of the society's biggest annual fundraising events and helps ensure future productions can continue to be staged in Naas.
The society is also encouraging new members to get involved ahead of its upcoming season. An open night will take place at 8pm on Thursday, August 27, at the Town House Hotel in Naas, where prospective members can meet the production team and learn more about both Sounds of the 70s – A Musical Journey and The Clockmaker's Daughter.
Rehearsals for the November concert begin on Monday, August 31, at the Town House Hotel. The society said everyone is welcome to join, with no previous performing experience required.
Tickets for Sounds of the 70s – A Musical Journey are now available through the Moat Theatre Box Office on (045) 883 030 and via the theatre's online booking service.
