TWO Naas children will be among a group of performers on the Late Late Toy Show which goes out live on RTE Television on Friday November 30.
Ten year old David Lawrence and Meadhbh O’Meara, who is 11, will peform UK singer’s Jessie J’s “Price Tag” as part of a group rendition. The pair are neighbours at Broadfield View.
Meadhbh is a pupil at the Mercy Convent primary school while David attends the Educate Together school, Green Road, Newbridge.
The performers were chosen from some 1,400 people from all over Ireland who auditioned to take part in the programme.
The pair will also be part of the group singing “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” as the show finale.
Last weekend all of the group participated in a rehearsal at a dance studio beside the O2 in Dublin and dress rehearsal takes place in RTE this Thursday.
Meadhbh appeared on the 2011 show as part of the childrens’ choir Cor na nOg.
The pair were auditioned after David’s aunt Maire Nagle sent video of the pair playing guitar (David) and singing (Meadhbh) to the show producers.
