The very best of what Kildare Town has to offer was on display yesterday, Tuesday August 13, when the Pride of Place judges came to town.
Kildare is the only town in the county that has been entered in the national Pride of Place competition. Judges William Beattie and Blaise Treacey were given a special slide show presentation by the organising committee followed by visits to the Cathedral, the Day Care Centre, Teach Dara, the CYMS, and the National Stud. They met many groups, clubs and local organisations along their route and were given a fantastic welcome.
The results of the visit will not be known until later this year. See the full story in next week’s Leinster Leader
