CRADDOCKSTOWN Golf Club in Naas was the venue for the Kildare GAA Development Squads Annual Golf Classic, on Good Friday last, magnificently supported by fifty teams on the day, writes TOMMY CALLAGHAN.

It was certainly heartening to see such a response and the full time GAA coaches in Kildare thank all their sponsors, particularly the main sponsor, Peter Drennan of Prompt Building Solutions, along with all the other sponsors, organisers, golfers and Craddockstown Golf Club for making the day such an outstanding success.

The overall winners on the day was Gerry Hynes team and they won a 4 ball in the K Club plus four signed Kildare jersies. Sean Brilly’s team came second, winning a 4 ball at Carton House and tickets for Punchestown while in third place was Pat May’s squad and they collected a 4 ball for The Heritage plus four Kildae GAA wind breakers.

Other prize winners were teams in the name of the following: Willie Ryan, Colm Farrell, Kildare GAA Golf Society, Liam Whealn, John O’Rourke, Kieran Murray and Alan Troy.

Nearest to the pin winners were Noel Mooney, Pat Treacy, Padd Anderson, Pat Brennan and Jonathon Davis.

The winners of the raffle were (1) Kieran Murray; (2) Gerry Hynes, (3) Marty McEvoy.

Overall a great day, expertly run and enjoyed by one and all.
